London has an endless supply of hotels. Budget ones, luxury ones, boring ones, and everything in between. But genuinely unique hotels — the kind you remember after you’ve checked out — are much harder to come by.
That’s exactly why we booked nhow London.
It’s easily one of the most funky, unusual-looking hotels we’ve come across in London, and after seeing it online, we knew it wasn’t going to be your standard city stay. We paid £146 for one night and stayed in a standard room to see whether the hotel lives up to its bold design and whether it’s actually worth booking.
This is our honest experience — what it’s like to stay there, what stood out, and whether it’s just stylish on the surface or genuinely a good place to stay.
Why We Chose nhow London
We didn’t stumble across nhow London by accident. We came across it online while looking for something different — not another neutral-toned, forgettable London hotel.
Visually, nhow London stood out immediately. It looked bold, playful, and unapologetically quirky. The kind of hotel that makes a statement rather than trying to please everyone. It looked very unusual!
First Impressions: This Is So Unusual
Walking into nhow London, the first thing that hit us was just how unusual it felt — in a good way, Weird but amazing art work scattered around the hotel lobby.
The hotel was busy when we arrived, but it didn’t feel stressful or chaotic. Instead, it felt lively. There’s a real sense of energy as soon as you walk through the doors, and it’s immediately clear that this hotel is doing something different.
Our first reaction was simply: this is so unusual, I LOVE IT!
Not weird-for-the-sake-of-it unusual — just genuinely creative.
It felt fun, bold, and surprisingly impressive. Definitely not try-hard.
The Overall Vibe of the Hotel
One thing nhow London gets absolutely right is committing fully to its identity.
Everything — from the public spaces to the corridors — leans into the hotel’s quirky, artistic style. There’s weird artwork, bold design choices, and unexpected details everywhere you look.
Despite that, it never felt overwhelming or uncomfortable. There’s a balance between being visually interesting and still feeling like a place you can relax in.
It’s the kind of hotel where you keep noticing new details as you walk around.

Our Room: Standard, But Anything But Boring
We stayed in a standard room, and even that felt far from standard.
The room continued the hotel’s quirky theme without feeling cluttered. What really stood out were the little details:
- The top hat-style light feature
- The strange but interesting artwork on the walls
- The playful design touches that made the room feel different without sacrificing comfort
Everything felt intentional. Not random. Not thrown together. It Felt very Unique!
Comfort-wise, the room delivered exactly what you’d want from a city hotel. The bed was comfortable, the space worked well, and there was nothing that annoyed us — which is honestly rare.
For the price we paid, it felt like excellent value.

Was the Room Worth £146?
Short answer: yes.
At £146 for the night, nhow London felt like really good value, especially for London. You’re getting:
- A genuinely unique hotel experience
- A comfortable, well-designed room
- A hotel you’ll actually remember staying in
- A great location
It didn’t feel like we were paying extra just for the design. It felt like the design was part of the experience — not a gimmick.
Food & Drinks: A Huge Surprise
We had dinner at the hotel, and this was one of the biggest surprises of the stay.
Hotel food can be hit or miss, and expectations are usually fairly low. But in this case, the food completely exceeded them.
The burger I had was, without exaggeration, the best burger we’ve ever had. Not “best hotel burger” — just the best, full stop.
That alone says a lot. It was incredible!
What’s even more telling is that we’d happily eat here again even if we weren’t staying at the hotel. That’s not something we say often about hotel restaurants.
Location & Getting Around London
Location-wise, nhow London works really well.
Transport links are excellent, with buses and trains within walking distance, making it easy to get around London. If you’re driving, there’s also parking available on the surrounding streets, which is a bonus in the city.
It’s a solid base whether you’re:
- Exploring London properly
- Staying for a short break
- Or just booking the hotel for the experience itself
You’re not stuck or isolated here.

Who Is nhow London Actually For?
Honestly? Pretty much everyone.
We’d say nhow London works well for:
- Couples
- Families
- Solo travellers
- Business trips
- Anyone bored of generic hotels
There’s no one we’d actively say should avoid it. It’s quirky without being impractical, and comfortable without being dull.
That balance is hard to get right, but nhow London manages it.
Our Honest Verdict: Would We Stay Again?
Yes — without hesitation.
The value for money, the comfort, the location, the food, and the unique design all come together really well. It’s one of those hotels that proves you don’t have to sacrifice comfort to stay somewhere interesting.
If you’re choosing between style and comfort, nhow London is a genuinely good option for both.
And if a friend asked us whether they should book it, our answer would be simple:
Book it. It won’t disappoint.
